PSEG operates under a Flexible Work Model, offering hybrid work arrangements that balance onsite and remote work. As a key member of our Engineering Services team, you will provide technical support for the Salem Power Uprate Project.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for sponsoring and implementing power uprate modifications for Salem Units 1 and 2. The successful candidate will assess the required scope of work, explore alternative solutions, and ensure adequate systems integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the required scope of work and explore alternative solutions
- Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process
- Fulfill the role of system lead engineer for modifications
- Ensure adequate systems integration and serve as plant systems subject matter expert
- Support changes to the Preventive Maintenance and Surveillance Program
- Identify critical spare parts
- Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes
- Prepare and/or support factory and plant startup testing
- Interface with Project Manager to ensure engineering deliverables meet project goals
- Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing, and as-built verification
- Comply with regulatory requirements, including 50.59 and License Amendment Request preparation
- Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Engineering Manager
Requirements:
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Controls, or related engineering or related technical degree with 13 years of experience performing related engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical system engineering
- Availability for shift work during installation
- Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access
- Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record
