With expertise in event execution, team supervision, and cross-department collaboration, this professional excels in data analysis, process improvement, and relationship management to deliver impactful events aligned with organizational goals.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides leadership to the development and management of processes tools and products for innovative event management and a successful Events and Logistics team
- Designs and manages comprehensive event workflows using Cvent, including integrated registration systems and processes, event websites, mobile apps, and post-event analytics, while teaching other team members to manage their own work using the tool
- Generates and analyzes Cvent data and other performance metrics and reports to track registration trends, attendee engagement, using insights to inform decision-making, manage event attendance, and improve future events
- Provides oversight of event outreach, including websites, CRMs, list management, and technology solutions, working with the broader strategic communications team as required
- Leads logistical aspects of virtual events, including budgeting, vendor and talent management, stakeholder communication, registration, materials prep, studio and virtual platform engagement, and all post-event activities, ensuring an engaging digital experience for attendees
- Manages the company’s contracts with and training on virtual platforms like Zoom, WebEx, Teams, or other event-specific technologies, ensuring seamless delivery that includes the ability to troubleshoot issues in real-time to minimize disruptions and virtual engagements that create high-quality attendee experiences
- Contributes to live meetings and special events, working with the broader Events and Logistics team to deliver impactful and memorable event experiences
- Supervises Event Management & Logistics team members, including managing day-to-day tasks and guiding professional development
- Ensures collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and IT, to align event goals with organizational priorities and enhance the attendee journey
- Monitors and evaluates event feedback and data, including comprehensive reporting from Cvent and other platforms, to continuously improve processes and enhance future events
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and other team members, representing Public Strategies as required
- Identifies new business opportunities, offering strong contributions to budget development and written proposals to secure new projects
- Stays current on meeting and event trends, including new technology, and contributes creative ideas and solutions
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field, required
- Certified Meeting Professional or other relevant certification, preferred
- Minimum of seven years’ experience working in an event-related capacity, required
- C-Vent expertise required
- Experience delivering digital solutions and proven writing skills that together result in quality products for users required
- Proven ability to streamline workflows and enhance user experience using modern-day systems, tools, and platforms to accomplish goals
- Ability to speak before groups in meetings, host virtual sessions, and/or provide voice-over support preferred
- MS Office proficiency required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- A passion for education and the empowerment of others through knowledge.
- Ability to travel to different locations across the state as required.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously, and maintain professionalism under pressure
