Overview
The Associate Director role will report into the Director position and will be a part of the National Audio Investment Team. This team works collectively to ensure that we have a thorough understanding of and a pulse on the media landscape, make smart investments with media partners, negotiating mutually favorable terms, and plan and execute client media buys that best deliver on their business and marketing objectives. This individual will play a large role in planning campaigns across various clients and verticals, while managing their direct reports and fostering their growth. They will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service and that the business goals for APEX and our clients are both being achieved.
Responsibilities
- Developing Talent Partnerships & Marketplace Client & Business Growth
Develop and manage team, providing coaching and career development for direct reports while overseeing development processes for broader team within management tree
Actively monitor workload and production while balancing team workload and accountsLeads and / or plays key role in training & development for new hiresReviews and supports goals of SupervisorsPartnerships & MarketplaceDevelops and maintains strong partner relationships while identifying opportunities in the marketplace for partner prospects
Capable of presenting to agencies, clients, or cross-channel teams on marketplace trends and APEX capabilitiesManage relationships with vendors including pipeline management and communicating client needs throughout the campaign lifecycleLeads escalation discussions of serious campaign or partner issues while acting as lead for dedicated agenciesDevelop new strategies for clients and support / manage level of client satisfaction to retain / grow revenueLead day-to-day partnership management and / or vendor prospect evaluations to discover new growth opportunitiesClient & Business GrowthOversee dedicated agencies including RFP & campaign support, client satisfaction, setting agency expectations, and fostering growth
Manage team workload ensuring that all team members are operating at baseline capacity while fairly distributing accounts & campaignsOversees campaign lifecycle, ensuring teams are following established workflow process and communication protocolsAct as key lead on surfacing recommendations to improve or iterate on business processes and data / file hygiene for broader teamDevelop relationships with APEX's Agency Account Leads, Account Management Team, and / or Cross-Channel activation leadsContributes to Strategy or Activation as needed for new business or high-touch and PACT accountsDemonstrates ownership of agency relationships and actively solicits feedback on opportunities for service or capabilities improvements including both presenting & driving adoption of APEX SolutionsMaintain strong agency peer relationships with counterparts for escalation and troubleshootingQualifications
6-8 years of experience with knowledge of digital media is critical for success in this roleExperience working across a variety of digital channels with digital audio experience (streaming and podcasts) being a plusAbility to work across multiple accounts at once across various verticals i.e. pharma, auto, QSR, retailExtensive Prisma experience is requiredDiverse backgrounds and experience are welcome including Agency Planning / Investment, Media Sales, Consulting and / or Media Client SideKnowledge of Salesforce, MBOX and MS Office Suite (must be proficient in Excel)Strong media financial acumen is mandatoryBusiness financial acumen is preferredUnderstanding of the media landscapeAdditional Information
