Overview

The Associate Director, Connections Strategy will lead a high performing direct marketing strategy for a leading entertainment distributor, driving customer growth objectives through an omnichannel media mix, with a significant direct mail program. This role will partner with a variety of cross-functional teams and clients to deliver impactful strategies, campaigns and performance insights. The ideal candidate can accomplish this “at the spend of entertainment” through deep CRM strategy, direct mail expertise and strong collaboration with internal team members, partners and client stakeholders.  

  

This role requires comfort and expertise with all elements of direct mail and direct marketing, for which the Associate Director will drive the strategy in collaboration with project management, creative, analytics and production partners.  


Responsibilities

  • Strategic and tactical plan creation across DM, Email, and Shared Mail channels 
  • Develop and lead integrated cross-functional work sessions, planning summits and strategic roadmaps with internal and external partners and clients. 
  • Employ data-driven audience strategies, including propensity models, incrementality models and DM list selection strategies. 
  • Author creative briefs for Acquisition, Winback and Current Customer Communications for direct mail,, email and shared mail tactics 
  • Build relationships with digital media team and coordinate strategies and tactics as appropriate. 
  • Design test plans in collaboration with analytics and account teams. 
  • Partner with analytics team to interpret program results and optimize campaigns through collaborative creation of performance reports and deep dives. 
  • Build and maintain internal and client relationships. 
  • Develop ad hoc POVs (e.g., category & competitive, data strategy, launch strategies) 

Qualifications

  • 7 years of demonstrated excellence in CRM, direct marketing and customer engagement strategy within consulting or agency environments
  • Demonstrated experience with direct mail, including deep understanding of audience, creative & production processes. 
  • A strategic operator with an analytical mindset  
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills 
  • Experience in campaign performance analysis and reporting. 
  • Ability to adapt to brand and marketing changes fluidly.

Compensation Range: $110,700- $151,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. 

Salary : $110,700 - $151,000
