Overview

The Director, Precision is responsible for leading the strategic vision, development, and execution of complex, high-budget video-centric programmatic campaigns, with a particular focus on YouTube media buying. The Director leads a team of programmatic professionals, driving insights and learnings across the entire spectrum of client engagements. This role demands a high level of strategic acumen, innovation, and leadership, serving as the primary liaison with senior clients and partners to cultivate and enhance relationships and deliverables.

 

In providing thought leadership on audience strategies, campaign optimization, and technological advancements, the Director builds robust partnerships and establishes effective communication channels with vendors, agency partners, and internal client service teams. This position oversees all aspects of campaign activity and deliverables, ensuring the seamless training and development of the team. The Director is also responsible for resource allocation, ensuring optimal team performance and workload distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and management of all programmatic video campaigns, including proposal development, campaign activation, maintenance, and post-buy analyses.
  • Collaborate with Agency media teams to respond to RFPs, develop strategic campaign plans, and communicate service offerings, while identifying new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
  • Ensure the quality and viability of client deliverables, providing strategic oversight and guidance.
  • Oversee the development of strategic proposals, coordinating efforts across programmatic and agency teams to integrate all relevant inputs.
  • Assume full accountability for programmatic campaign execution across assigned client accounts, driving performance and client satisfaction.
  • Articulate and communicate the programmatic value proposition, technologies, and processes to support the growth of current and prospective agency accounts.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance to ensure alignment with client objectives and KPIs.
  • Lead forecasting and strategic planning initiatives for senior management.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity within the team.
  • Implement and uphold account management standards and program management best practices.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and expertise in programmatic media buying.
  • Establish and document best practices for enhancing communication and collaboration within the team and the larger group.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures for programmatic campaign implementations.
  • Lead regular knowledge-sharing sessions to disseminate new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of interactive media planning and buying elements, with expertise in YouTube media buying.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite solutions.
  • Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to organize and manage detailed work independently, while balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • 7 years of experience in Display, Audio, CTV, and/or DOOH programmatic media buying.
  • 4 years of experience in buying YouTube media.
  • Extensive experience with DSPs and ad platforms, including but not limited to The Trade Desk, DV360, and Google Ads Manager.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, with 4 years of increasing responsibility within an agency or media company.
  • Experience working with entertainment clients is highly desirable.

Compensation Range: $119,510 - $179,850 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
