Overview

The Director, Strategy & Activation (Stractivation) leads the development and execution of strategic media plans, ensuring seamless integration across all channels. This role provides leadership to the Stractivation team while collaborating cross-functionally to drive innovation and excellence in media strategy and activation.

Responsibilities

Strategic Media Planning & Execution 

  • Lead the media planning process, ensuring strategies align with client objectives and industry best practices. 

  • Oversee RFP development, tactical plan presentations, and partner negotiations. 

  • Manage campaign execution, performance optimization, and vendor relationships. 

  • Ensure integration of media channels across campaigns, including Digital, HCP, Payer, and Traditional Media. 

  • Oversee MLR program coordination and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 

  • Provide input on media mix and budget allocation across accounts. 

  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations based on data insights. 

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging media opportunities. 

 

Leadership & Team Development 

  • Manage and mentor the Stractivation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and professional growth. 

  • Support the VP, Strategy & Activation in defining team priorities and guiding execution. 

  • Ensure training and onboarding of new hires on tools, processes, and best practices. 

  • Provide performance feedback, participate in goal-setting, and conduct mid-year/year-end reviews. 

  • Support talent development by nurturing high-potential team members and ensuring knowledge sharing. 

 

Client & Stakeholder Management 

  • Serve as a key day-to-day client contact, building strong relationships and understanding business priorities. 

  • Guide clients on media strategy decisions, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. 

  • Represent cross-functional team interests in meetings with clients and agency partners. 

  • Deliver high-quality presentations and recommendations, demonstrating strategic thinking and industry expertise. 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Growth 

  • Work closely with internal teams (Investment, Analytics, Media, Creative) to ensure cohesive campaign execution. 

  • Partner with leadership to refine processes and drive innovation in media planning and activation. 

  • Contribute to new business efforts, providing strategic insights and expertise in media strategy. 

  • Champion continuous improvement across team deliverables and agency best practices. 


Qualifications

  • 5-7 years media planning experience 

  • 2 years recent HCP media planning and strategy experience 

  • 3 years management experience 

  • 2 years of cross-channel media planning experience

Compensation Range: $110,580 - $173,995. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
