Rate of Pay: $141,170 per year
Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon, but not limited to, the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
Responsibilities
Duties: Produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Ensure raw data is ingested, scrubbed, processed, and prepped for modeling. Manipulate and architect large data sets across multiple dimensions (sales, brand equity, search interest, website visits, social media, advertising activity). Perform initial investigations on data to discover patterns, spot anomalies, test hypotheses and check assumptions with the help of summary statistics and graphical representations. Implement methods for building models across a wide range of approaches and algorithms. Automate methods for hyperparameter tuning and other stages in the model-tuning process. Apply the chosen model on live data to gauge model effectiveness and determine output across industry verticals. Improvise the existing model by recalibration using incremental datasets from marketing systems and sales enablement platforms. Evaluate models across dimensions outside of performance such as explanatory simplicity, time and computational resources required, technical dependencies and other problems specific to both business and technical contexts. Communicate ideas and concerns with clients to get a full understanding of modeling purposes and identify business opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction. Strategically partner with the Client Insights team to address client’s business and marketing challenges. Report persistent data quality challenges for long term fixes and keep up to date with new developments of analytic methods in academia and industry research.
Qualifications
Requirements: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Quantitative Discipline, Data Science or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or two years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Experience must include one year in each of the following:
1. Build, review, and publish MMM (market mix models) by employing econometric modeling techniques.
2. Perform predictive modeling and conduct statistical tests using programming tools like R, SAS, and Python to extract insights from customer behavior data.
3. Perform data manipulation, basic analysis, and reporting tasks using advanced Excel capabilities such as pivot tables, data validation.
4. Create intuitive and interactive dashboards, charts, and graphs using data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
5. Extract specific datasets, perform data cleaning and preprocessing tasks using SQL which is necessary for accessing and querying relational databases.
6. Utilize software such as MS PowerPoint to create audience-tailored slides to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
