Overview
The Media Director (MD) is responsible for leading a portfolio of client media accounts towards stated client and company objectives. The MD will be accountable to partner with clients to address the measured media landscape and work with client stakeholders across multiple digital disciplines to propose and defend media spend across all performance-based marketing channels. The Media Director will manage and direct a team of Media Managers, Supervisors, and Associates in this task and be accountable for maintaining accurate program forecasts and hitting stated revenue and sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee management of all media strategy / planning, accountable for the relationship with the clients including overall satisfaction and management of expectations while ensuring that the work is on strategy, on time, and within budget.
- Oversee and direct the development, presentation, and maintenance of client communication plans, including insight development, strategic initiatives, big but relevant ideas, updates, and points-of-view (POVs) on proposals.
- Align with regional COEs and global media leaders to ensure constant evolution of our local media product with a focus on digital, data, content, and technology.
- Provide direction to buyers and planners in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all buys and executions of media plans adhere to agreed planning strategies and are properly communicated to the client.
- Ensure our clients receive value and benefit from the best pricing in the market by leveraging the combined clout of all Publicis Media budgets and promoting new trading approaches. Review and address client conflict issues in a timely fashion involving local, regional, and global stakeholders as necessary.
- Take a leading role in client ideation and creativity, partnering with creative, digital, and other agencies.
- Take a solutions-oriented approach to addressing client and team challenges – regardless of topic : i.e., billing, operational, staffing, etc.
