Overview
The role of Supervisor, Local Planning is to manage the day-to-day Local media planning and strategy functions including management of accurate budget control and flow of media activity. This person will support a team in the development, execution, and stewardship of local media plans for assigned business. The Supervisor will also effectively leverage experience, knowledge, and skills to push fresh thinking to address client, agency, and team needs with the assistance of the senior staff on the business. This position will manage several junior staff day to day and reports directly to the Associate Director, Local Planning.
Responsibilities
Responsible for contributing to the development of and executing local planning for the assigned businessEvaluates capabilities and composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which most effectively reaches the target audienceEvaluates and assesses media performance to determine the extent to which the original media objectives and strategies were accomplishedResearch, interpret, and evaluate available marketing and research data to develop media objectives and local plansEffectively communicate and present to top management and clientsClosely supervise the implementation and execution of the media plan, which includes ideation, budgeting, scheduling, and establishing benchmarks for controlMaintain accurate budget control and flow of media activity and update client on timely / consistent basisApprove media authorizations prepared by team per approved plans / project requestsAccountable for accuracy and media intelligenceSupervise and motivate direct reportsCoordination and communication across inter-agency partnerships and internal resources / teamsManaging the process and procedure for client set up, billing and all administrative functionsResource for others to resolve complex questions / problemsMay perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to timeAdvocate for multicultural & diversity inclusion throughout tactical plansQualifications
3 years of experience in media planning / strategy, local experience preferredAgency experience highly preferredComputer Skills / Software Knowledge : Microsoft Suite, Nielsen Suite, Kantar, IMS, Flowchart Software, R / F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, Prisma, MediaOcean, MRI / GfK, GWIStrong knowledge of all cross-channel media, with a drive for curiosity and passion for the client's businessDemonstrate ability to learn new propriety software and processes quickly and proficientlySolid written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentationMinimal supervision, relies on experience / judgmentUnderstanding of Activation / Negotiation team functionsUnderstand the capabilities of each media channel to maximize the impact and components within each campaignMeet client and internal deadlines and obligationsManage projects, resources, stakeholders, and participantsOrient, train, assign, and review the work of subordinates

Compensation Range : $73,910 - $106,260 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer / temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
