Join us at razorfish.com.OverviewThe VP, Media Strategy serves as the client lead for a large B2B account and provides team leadership across experts in strategy / planning, search, social, and programmatic media. This person provides account leadership in partnership with key subject matter experts to drive media and marketing solutions for the client. ResponsibilitiesCore Craft SkillsPlans and buys media as needed; may include direct account and client service responsibilities.Develops and maintains publisher relationships, including senior-level contacts; contributes to issue resolution between both parties.Works cross-functionally with management team and client team.Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills / presence.Solid financial acumen and business expertise. Client ExposureManages one large client account with a B2B focus, interfacing with c-level client contacts. Provides marketing expertise with a focus on digital media as well as working knowledge of offline strategy development. Business DevelopmentActively contributes to new business efforts.Team LeadershipManages a team of 10, along with workflow and department capabilities in conjunction with the SVP Media and other senior leaders.Provides day-to-day functional management of media team, including recruiting, performance management, and plays an active role in training and mentoring.Agency LeadershipAssists with interviewing, hiring and getting new Media team members up to speed.Leads Media Training (basic knowledge, best practices, feedback and coaching to enable continuous improvement).Fosters an environment of shared learning and acts as a trusted source of media information for agency and in client meetings.Holds a strong partnership with the Insights Group; understands ad technologies and capabilities.Understands all Razorfish products, tools and services.QualificationsBachelor’s degree (BA / BS) 10 years of media strategy and planning experience, preferably within an agency environment. Experience in Defense, Space, Weapons, Government, and / or B2B verticals. Demonstrated people management and development experience.Demonstrated ability to communicate with client contacts at all levels and provide a POV on the media landscape. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer / temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
