Overview

The Supervisor role will report into the Associate Director position and will be a part of the National Audio Investment Team. This team works collectively to ensure that we have a thorough understanding of and a pulse on the media landscape, make smart investments with media partners, negotiating mutually favorable terms, and plan and execute client media buys that best deliver on their business and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

The expectations for this role fall into 3 key categories :

  • Developing Teams & Talent
  • Oversee and support training efforts of Negotiators and Associates as they progress in their roles.
  • Review and support goals of Negotiators.
  • Delivering on Our Value Proposition
  • Develop and maintain strong partner relationships and contribute to communicating client needs to the partnerships team.
  • Own negotiations for assigned clients and campaigns.
  • Lead holding vendors accountable to APEX standards.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for campaign issues with partners.
  • Identify new opportunities and partnerships that support overall client needs.
  • Establish partner relationships across the industry.
  • Oversee day-to-day team negotiations.
  • Supervise decisions across the team to shift media within the audio space.
  • Managing Business & Operations
  • Understand both Strategy and Activation and manage across on a high level.
  • Oversee campaign lifecycle ensuring a smooth, error-free process and service on key accounts.
  • Conduct last touch QA for Negotiators.
  • Understand the end-to-end billing process and manage timely reconciliation and approvals for the team.
  • Own the full process for high-level account(s).
  • Contribute to discrepancy resolution for assigned clients and campaigns.
  • Ensure Salesforce is accurate and up to date for all opportunities for accounts with oversight.
  • Oversee usage of tools and team input to ensure data accuracy for reporting.

Qualifications

We value diversity of thought and experiences at APEX! If you learned about media from the sales or agency side, that’s great but we do need folks with a profound understanding of how media investment works.

  • 4-7 years of experience with knowledge of digital media is critical for success in this role.
  • Experience working across a variety of digital channels with digital audio experience (streaming and podcasts) being a plus.
  • Ability to work across multiple accounts at once across various verticals i.e. pharma, auto, QSR, retail.
  • Extensive Prisma experience is required.
  • Diverse backgrounds and experience are welcome including Agency Planning / Investment, Media Sales, Consulting and / or Media Client Side.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, MBOX and MS Office Suite (must be proficient in Excel).
  • Strong media financial acumen is mandatory.
  • Business financial acumen is preferred.
  • Understanding of the media landscape.
