Retail Grocery Customer Service Staff

Publix Super Markets is hiring part-time customer service staff for your Publix at Jacaranda Plaza (Store #645) located at 8101 W. Sunrise Blvd. in Plantation and we’d love to meet you! We are looking for friendly, customer-service-oriented people to join our hard-working team.

Job Description:

• Assists customers and delivers premier customer service
• Resolves customer issues or escalates them to management if necessary
• Cashes customer checks
• Sells lottery tickets, stamps, and money services
• Operates a register and calculator as needed
• Answers and directs telephone calls
• Performs daily bookkeeping procedures such as balancing and reconciling cash drawers
• Maintains office accountability
• Reconciles the cash office, prepares deposits (cash, checks, food stamps, and other forms of tender)
• Performs ATM functions
• Has direct custody of the safe under the direction of the customer service management
• Maintains security of the cash office and operates all cash office equipment
• Coordinates the front-end in the absence of the customer service team leader or manager
• Assists in other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with money services, bookkeeping/accounting and lottery is preferred.
• Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
• Ability to read, write, and do simple math problems.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Salary : $27,900 - $35,300
