The Human Resources (HR) department at Publix directs many of the initiatives designed to further the potential of our associates. Within the department, the HR IT Analyst will consult with business areas regarding technology, End User Computing (EUC) solutions, BI development, and data and process governance. Working with the HR Systems Manager, the analyst will help develop and implement the vision, strategies, and solutions for areas to effectively utilize data and institute best practices for data governance, business process governance, and the use of EUC technology.
What you’ll do:
- develop, manage, implement, and perform ongoing administration of HR’s systems strategies and new and existing end-user computing solutions
- provide technical consultation for strategic, HR-critical initiatives and highly complex technical processes to ensure effective and compliant internal and customer-facing solutions
- provide technical consulting and business system services with the objective of understanding and documenting current business processes, future business needs, and current constraints; then recommending improvements and solutions
- research and develop integrated KPIs and/or strategic metrics using data analytics/machine learning tools to create self-service business intelligence reports/dashboards for HR leadership and business partners
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics or similar technical discipline or relevant experience
at least one to two years of experience in relational database design and/or management, including translating business requirements into database solutions
at least one to two years of experience building SQL queries
at least one to two years of experience with Python, VBA, or other programming language, including facilitating user interaction and creating automation
experience in communicating and relating directly with IT and the user community in addition to IT
knowledge of statistics, probability, and sampling
knowledge of relational database design and management
ability to work effectively without close supervision or guidance
time management skills
data analysis skills including the ability to inspect, cleanse, transform and model data from various sources with the goal of discovering useful information/trends, informing conclusions, and supporting decision-making
innovation and creativity to generate unique solutions and ideas to address problems and improve work efficiencies, productivity, and customer service
basic skills in Microsoft PowerPoint
advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
experience in SQL Server Management Studio or equivalent
skilled in BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, or others)
ability to work nights, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require
