Job Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to a team of associates that is tasked with supporting the electrical and mechanical infrastructure of the Data Center
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams on computer room floor projects at the Data Center
• Oversea the installation and removal of all critical IT hardware in the Data Center
• Plan and manage efforts to execute, enhance, and maintain reliability, scalability, and security of Data Center operations
• Foster and maintain working relationships with internal teams in support of the enterprise production environment
• Develop standards, processes, and procedures to enhance Data Center Operations
• Anticipate and identify issues that conflict with security and compliance requirements; work with auditors to define and execute action plans to address root causes
• Manage assigned associates (Data Center Support)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent analytical discipline, or equivalent experience
• Must have at least 8 years of experience with Data Center operations
• Solid understanding of server, storage, and network architecture in a data center environment
• Understanding of enterprise applications and associated business functions
• Knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure as well as fire detection/suppression and security systems
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships
• Experience working in a process structured environment (Publix Technology Change Management, Industrial Maintenance and Interior Construction)
• Highly developed analytical skills and demonstrated resourcefulness
• Ability to solve problems quickly under pressure
• Excellent coordination skills and ability to guide cross functional teams
• Experience with personnel management
• Ability to influence others to, as a group or individually, achieve organizational goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing a data center

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
