Description
This position is responsible for analyzing non-pharmacy third party subpoenas for production and appearance, coordinating the production of records and information, coordinating, and preparing witnesses for hearings and depositions, coordinating billing and collections activities for records produced and assisting with other Litigation Support tasks, as needed.

Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and coordinating responses to non-pharmacy third party subpoenas for production.
- Coordinating witnesses to attend depositions and hearings pursuant to non-pharmacy third party subpoenas.
- Billing for records produced pursuant to subpoenas and tracking the payments received.
- Generating and analyzing reports for the overall process (e.g. reports may show the number of subpoenas received, the number of responses produced, the amount of payments collected for documents produced, etc.).
- Helping with Litigation Support tasks
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Paralegal/ Legal Studies or equivalent work experience
- 1-2 years of experience as a paralegal/legal assistant, specifically with experience handling subpoenas for records and testimony (at depositions, hearings)
- Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure (state and federal), HIPAA laws and regulations, other applicable laws and litigation proceedings (e.g. drafting, serving and responding to subpoenas)
- Analytical, persuasive, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently or with little/no supervision
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal/Legal Studies or equivalent work experience
- 3-4 years of experience handling subpoenas for records and testimony (at depositions, hearings)
- Certified Paralegal (CP) or Certified Legal Assistant (CLA)

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
