PUC National is a non-profit organization that serves to promote, support, benefit, replicate, and carry out the purposes and mission of Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) Schools.
We have a contractual relationship with Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) Schools to provide a variety of support services to the schools in NE Los Angeles and the NE San Fernando Valley. This includes but is not limited to Finance, Human Resources, Operations, IT and Data Management, facilities identification and acquisition, fundraising, grant management, college access, alumni relations, charter development and renewal, and compliance.
The Team Member we are searching for

This role will be involved in supporting the day-to-day accounting functions that lead to accurate and timely reports. This individual will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

This role will be involved in supporting the day-to-day accounting functions that lead to accurate and timely reports. This individual will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
What You Will Need To Accomplish
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Prepare Reclass Journal Entries
- May prepare trial balances, financial statements, State and Federal related documents and reports
- Establish, post, and maintain journals, ledgers, and a variety of other accounting and budget control records
- Prepare and verify the accuracy and completeness of financial files, records, and reports.
- Operate computers, terminals, and other business office machines and equipment
- Work with a computer-based accounting and budget control system
- Prepare system input data and analyzes, verifies, and reconciles output reports
- Make complex arithmetical calculations and verifies computations
- Interpret and provides information regarding routine legal mandates, policies, regulations, and operational guidelines to District personnel
- Provide technical information to County, State, and Federal agencies
- Assist with Audit Requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
What do we require from you?
Education
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, related field, or equivalent training and experience required
- Master’s Degree and/or CPA license preferred
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with multi-locations
- Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate with different constituents
- Excellent customer service Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Advance working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

- Must be flexible and team-oriented
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and ownership of work

Compensation & Benefits
- This is a temporary full-time exempt, salaried position
- July 29th through November 29th 2024
