Overview
Pueblo Community College (PCC) is seeking an experienced and dedicated AHA Certified Instructor to teach Basic Life Support (BLS) and Heartsaver courses to PCC students and members of the surrounding communities. Responsibilities
- Teach AHA-certified Basic Life Support (BLS) and Heartsaver courses to PCC students, faculty, and community members near the Durango Site and Mancos Campus.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that adhere to the AHA curriculum and guidelines.
- Utilize AHA-approved teaching materials and equipment to provide hands-on learning experiences.
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment for diverse student populations.
- Evaluate student performance and ensure all participants meet AHA certification requirements.
- Stay updated on current AHA policies and guidelines to ensure compliance and high-quality instruction.
- Communicate effectively with PCC Training Center (TC) supervisors and community partners to coordinate class schedules and meet community training needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHA instructor certification (Basic Life Support and Heartsaver).
- Access to and proficiency with AHA instructor materials and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience teaching AHA curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of AHA policies, guidelines, and ATLAS.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
