Annual salary is $47,457 or higher depending on experience.

Department Purpose
Position Summary
In accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes 24-50-135, this position has been exempted from the State Personnel System.
Job Duties
Re-Entry Support Services
- Develop individualized re-entry success plans
- Coordinate with community partners for housing assistance
- Connect students with mental health and counseling services
- Assist with transportation needs and solutions
- Help students obtain necessary documentation (ID, Social Security card)
- Facilitate access to healthcare services
- Coordinate food security and basic needs support
Academic Support
- Connect students with academic coaching and mentoring
- Assist with college enrollment and registration
- Help navigate financial aid and scholarship opportunities
- Monitor academic progress
- Assist with technology access and digital literacy
- Support credit transfer and prior learning assessment
- Assist with ordering and obtaining transcripts
Career Development
- Coordinate college and job readiness training
- Develop relationships with "second chance" employers
- Assist with resume writing and interview preparation
- Provide guidance on background disclosure
Community Partnerships

Build and maintain relationships with:
- Social service agencies
- Housing organizations
- Mental health providers
- Workforce development programs
- Legal aid services
- Recovery support services
- Faith-based organizations
- Coordinate referrals and track outcomes
Program Development and Advocacy
- Develop a re-entry education program that assists students with the transition to community and education
- Develop an application and selection process for the re-entry training program
- Conduct program outreach to various correctional facilities in Colorado
- Track program metrics and outcomes
- Conduct staff training on working with justice-involved students
Additional Functions
- Works independently with little supervision or as part of a team.
- Communicates effectively with students, colleagues, and others.
- Interacts professionally and respectfully with students, colleagues, and others.
- Assesses individual and department work processes and recommends improvements.
- Complies with State Fiscal Rules, State Board policies, System and College protocols, and departmental procedures.
- Obtains and maintains proficiency with required systems and equipment.
- Maintains confidentiality of student and employee information as required.
- Completes all required compliance training within the established timeline.
- Serves on committees and other groups as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the criminal justice system, including corrections and rehabilitation processes.
- 3 years’ experience with case management, student services or related field
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of criminal justice system and re-entry challenges.
- Ability to work and communicate clearly with multiple diverse groups to include administration, stakeholders, employees and students.
- Strong cultural competency skills.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
