Grounds Crew Job Description
Reports to: Golf Course Superintendent Department: Grounds
Supervises: None FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Variable days and hours, including weekends.
The Grounds Crew is responsible for maintaining the grounds and ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually appealing.

Perform regular golf course maintenance such as mowing of greens/tees, and surrounding areas.
Perform additional maintenance duties including trimming, edging, and weeding areas.
Perform routine duties including cleaning, watering, syringing turf areas.
Maintain bunkers.
Sets tee markers; maintains ball washers and tee towels; maintains tennis courts; maintains water coolers; collects trash; sands and seeds tee and fairway divots.
Returns all equipment to designated location at the maintenance facility; cleans equipment and maintenance areas.
Maintains fuel and fluid levels on all equipment used on a daily basis, reports equipment problems or failures to the Golf Course Superintendent immediately.
Evaluate the grounds and reports any damages to the Golf Course Superintendent.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to follow directions from supervisor and co-workers.
Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies, and guidelines for the grounds & equipment.
Knowledge of methods and materials used in grounds and landscape construction/maintenance work.
Ability to use a variety of equipment such as; mowers, trimmers, motorized equipment, hand tools, etc.
Ability to cooperate well with co-workers.
Must be comfortable working outdoor for long periods of time.
Must be safety conscientious and use good judgment at all times.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to use arms, hands, and manipulate fingers to utilize equipment.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Preferred: Previous golf grounds experience
Will be exposed to the varying weather conditions, which could include cold, rain, and extreme heat.
May operate various types of equipment including utility vehicles, tractors, mowers, string trimmers, and other equipment used in the maintenance of the course.
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $14.81 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
