Job Summary
Work involves identifying, scheduling, and teaching participants the Moral Recognition Therapy Program which consists of life-skills activities designed to prepare inmates for re-entry into the community; initiating inmate referrals to facilities; preparing and managing statistical data in a manner designated for the Jail Based Behavioral Services grant contract; and initiating and maintaining collaboration with community partners.
Requirements
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. A minimum of one year of social work or case management experience is required. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in one of the recognized mental health professions is preferred. Colorado Addiction Counselor (CAC) Level I, II, or III is preferred. Correctional mental health experience is preferred.
Additional Information
The selection process includes, but is not limited to, a panel interview. Prior to employment, candidates will complete a background investigation, polygraph examination, and physical examination to include a drug screen. The expected duration of the process will not normally exceed two months. Candidates not selected may reapply in the future. This position is grant-funded. Although the entire pay range is posted, this position starts at the minimum of $18.93 per hour.
