Overview Dental Assistant
Pueblo West Neighborhood Dental and Implants is expanding, thanks to the wonderful support from the community. We are seeking a full or part-time Dental Assistant to join our team! But not just any Dental Assistant! We are looking for a higher level individual who is beyond capable and has foresight to help perfect daily functions.
Compensation:
Compensatory to skill level and value created (could be anywhere from $18/hr to $28/hr)
Performance bonuses based on KPI’s at the discretion of management
Graduating scale of PTO after 1 year and 3 years
At-Cost Dental Work after 6 months for employee and family
Basic Functions
- Provide support to the Dentist and team members as needed
- Assist chairside. Educates patient on procedures being performed, post operative care, and oral health care
- Ability to render appropriate decisions and practical solutions.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team oriented environment.
- Maintains a clean and sterile environment according to OSHA standards and regulations
- Laboratory Case Management
- Ensures quality and compassionate care and provides excellent customer service.
- Works in conjunction from Front to Back Office to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Speak, talk and counsel patients about dental treatment, and help navigate the myriad of complexities that both patients and doctors experience
- Help manage, oversee, troubleshoot existing and future operational challenges with patient experience and employee safety at the forefront
- With fluency, present, educate and connect patients with recommended treatment plans
- Aid in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, patient confidentiality, and Infection Control standards
- Have a sound knowledge of introductory medical conditions, prescriptions, etc
- Safely navigate these issues while maintaining exceptional patient and employee safety
Qualifications Include
- Experience required
- Dependable, trustworthy, self-motivated, resilient and relentless.
- Attention to detail with speed and accuracy is imperative!
- Knowledge of dental terminology and coding
- Knowledge and skills with computers, documents, phones, internet, email, etc
- Adaptable to changing work environments and job duties
- Independent worker but able to excel in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with Dentrix, digital x-rays, intraoral cameras
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
