Document Destruction Technician
Hourly, non-exempt position, PRN status without benefits.
Summary
A Document Destruction Technician performs critical work handling the confidentiality & destruction of assigned documents at PDI.
Duties
- Adhere to PDI policy regarding confidentiality and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”)
- Strictly follow safe practices, guidelines, and protocols
- Adhere to strict infection control and prevention policies and best practice guidelines
- Engage in skilled interaction with all people
Liaison
- Professionally and effectively communicate and provide excellent customer service to people served and others, including but not limited to family members, private providers, LIPs, PCPs, and guardians of people served and staff and co-workers, related to the employment of people served
- Consistently maintain a helpful and professional manner in dealing with all parties
- Build community awareness and support for PDI and its programs

Requirements:Minimum Requirements
You must be age 21 or over to work at PDI. You must also pass a pre-hire drug and background screen as well as random drug screens that may occur at any time and without notice while employed by PDI.
Age 21.
- Ability to comprehend verbal and modeled instructions to complete assigned tasks, along with common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- High school diploma or general education degree (“GED”) required.
The Document Destruction Technician works in the main PDI facility. A reasonable accommodation may be made to enable persons with disabilities to perform essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the Document Destruction Technician is not exposed to outdoor weather conditions nor wet or humid conditions (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can often be elevated and hectic.
