SUMMARY
The Fort Carson Quality Assurance Assistant (“QA Assistant”) has the critical responsibility to support and implement the Fort Carson custodial contract (“contract”) and its attached Quality Plan by ensuring work assignments are completed, inspecting and communicating the quality of work performed, implementing appropriate corrective actions for deficient work and by maintaining proper documentation of work performed and deficiencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspection
- Ensure that work assignments are completed per contract and Technical Exhibit requirements
- Record required inspection in paper or electronic form as directed and return to the QA Manager not less than 24hours after completion of the inspection
Correction
- Note corrective actions as required by the Quality Plan
- Address correctable deficiencies with the custodians performing the work as quickly as possible and oversee corrective action
- Provide on-site individual and group training as appropriate to correct noted deficiencies
Recordkeeping
- Generate supporting documentation of customer complaints and complete deficiency reports as required by the contract
- Record all corrective actions as directed
- Record and communicate all carryover deficiencies requiring corrective action to the QA Manager
- Report recurring deficiencies to the QA Manager
- Report complaints requiring customer communication to the Fort Carson Project Manager
Vehicle Use
- This position does require that you drive a personal or PDI vehicle on a PDI business.
- You must have a current and valid driver's license and automobile insurance. You must be 21 years of age.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The QA Assistant has no supervisory responsibilities but does provide direction to custodial employees concerning areas and performance requiring improvement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PDI POSITIONS
You must be age 21 or over to work at PDI. You must also pass a pre-hire drug and background screen as well as random drug screens that may occur at any time and without notice while employed by PDI. You must be computer-literate, comfortable with technology with well-developed oral and written communication skills. You must be able to complete and pass First Aid, CPR, and other required training.
If the position requires you to drive a PDI vehicle on company business then you must possess a valid driver’s license and agree to a review of your motor vehicle record for addition to PDI’s authorized drivers list. In addition, if the position authorizes you to drive your vehicle on PDI business then you must provide proof of automobile insurance and proof of required automobile insurance limits.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A high school degree or its equivalent is required. One year of experience in a supervisory or lead position is required. Quality control experience is required. Knowledge of and experience with custodial services, custodial techniques, and quality control processes required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. Experience working with people with a disability preferred. Experience in Federal contracts preferred. Military base or post and General Services Administration (“GSA”) experience preferred.
MATHEMATICS ABILITY
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Not a requirement.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, a person should know the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, Internet software, cellular telephones, and basic office equipment.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The QA Assistant will work at PDI’s customer facility in Fort Carson, Colorado. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable persons with disabilities to perform essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the QA Assistant is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions and occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather). The QA Assistant is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can become loud and hectic.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is an exempt, full-time position. Hours worked Monday through Friday may vary based on work requirements. Routine evening, weekend and holiday hours may be required to meet contract specifications and PDI needs.

TRAVEL
Occasional travel within a 50-mile radius of the contract work site may be required.
