Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Help with food production tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, as well as portioning food items.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized after use.
- Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure timely meal service for residents.
- Support dietary staff in managing inventory and restocking supplies as needed.
- Provide assistance to residents during meal times, ensuring they receive the appropriate meals based on their dietary requirements.
Skills
- Strong understanding of kitchen cleanliness and food safety practices.
- Experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of dietetics or experience working in a nursing home setting is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
