What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cocktail Server position at Pueblo of Pojoaque?
: Service of beverage and/or food in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction
Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Checks and maintains proper set-up and cleanliness of service station before, during, and after shift.
- Greets guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explains all specials, promotions and snacks.
- Takes orders, reciting a selection of all call and premium brands as requested; requires memorization of all available drinks.
- Inputs orders into point of sale system to inform bartender an order was made in a timely order.
- Replenishes beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guests to inquire about satisfaction.
- Present the guest with the check promptly, thanking them and inviting them to return
- Other duties as assigned. PPABC Liquor Certification or successful completion of the PPABC Liquor Certification course
- Knowledge, ability, and skill in mixing a variety of alcoholic beverages
- Must be able to attain a food handler certificate within 90 days of employment
- Good verbal communication and customer relations skills
- Ability to handle a variety of customer requests and personalities with ease and confidence
- Must be people-oriented
- Good knowledge of New Mexico state laws pertaining to liquor consumption
- Basic math skills
- Solid cash handling skills
Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prefer six (6) months to one-year previous serving experience. Prior hospitality experience preferred Standing/Walking: 100%.
- Bar/casino setting. Shift work required. Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs.
- Exposure to cigarette smoke and noise.
- Exposure to some cleaning chemicals
