Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Water & Wastewater Utilities, performs and oversees the daily activities of the Water treatment plant. Assists in supervision of the Wastewater treatment department as requested or assigned.
Work involves all aspects of operation and maintenance of the Water treatment system. All work must be in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. An employee proceeds independently to complete assignments, coordinating matters as needed and resolving most problems encountered in the work; only new, policy or personnel matters are referred to others. Under general direction, coordinates, supervises and participates in the operation of the District’s water treatment plant to ensure the protection of public health, and the production of adequate quantity and acceptable quality of the District’s drinking water supply.
