- Position Summary: The Case Aide/Parent Aide employee supports the Case Planners who works directly with families in the assessment of housing, educational, employment, consumer education, budgeting, health and child care needs.
Major Duties:
- Develop strategies with clients to achieve concrete needs.
- Identify providers/resources and demonstrate knowledge of services in the community and of government programs.
- Advocate and be an interpreter on clients behalf. Escort clients in need of advocacy.
- Conduct home visits and telephone inquiries on newly assigned cases or cases where families have failed to respond to case planners outreach.
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, follow up meetings and trainings.
- Provide up-dates to case planners on the status of the service plan.
- Perform basic administrative tasks related to caseloads activities, such as statistics and recordings.
- Keep records accurately.
- Document services, progress and barriers in a clear manner.
- Assis in securing school and medical reports on cases where case planners efforts have been unsuccessful.
- Ability to recognize and report risk indicators that might compromise childrens safety.
- Assist with the supervision of children while at the program.
- Perform other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
- Associates degree preferred, Bachelors degree a plus.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or French.
- Ability to community with clients based on their capacity, cultural background and/or sexual orientation.
- Knowledge of Connections database a plus.
