JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Golf Teaching Professional is an in-store expert in the filed of club fitting and golf skill. The primary responsibilities of Golf Teaching Professionals are to conduct customer lessons, assist with club fitting, provide guidance and assist with sales, and to represent the company with professionalism while providing expert instruction.
Other responsibilities include:
PGA or LPGA Teaching Professional Certification preferred, 2 years in Golf Instruction and Golf Club fitting experience preferred.
A Golf Teaching Professional is an in-store expert in the filed of club fitting and golf skill. The primary responsibilities of Golf Teaching Professionals are to conduct customer lessons, assist with club fitting, provide guidance and assist with sales, and to represent the company with professionalism while providing expert instruction.
Other responsibilities include:
- Provide daily golf instruction through individual and group lessons, clinics, and various in-store events. Evaluating and recommending equipment to customers,
- Assisting on the sales floor when available, helping customers with fitting clubs.
- Educating Puetz staff by providing knowledge and expertise gained through their experience, continual product knowledge, and training.
- Independently manage their time and client appointments.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, actively demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate instruction and advice to clientele.
- Must be able to quickly and completely assess the customer’s needs, both daily and in planning a strategy for their future learning of the game of golf.
- Basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and the internet. A solid, working knowledge of golf instruction software is also required.
- Assist with associate training, act as an expert reference during daily operations.
- Knowledge of trackman or other related technology used in golf instruction/golf club fitting.
- Golf Instructors must be able to remain standing for extended periods of time, move freely through the store, and lift a 30 lb. box overhead.
- Golf Instructors must be able to accommodate a typical retail schedule, work a flexible work week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
PGA or LPGA Teaching Professional Certification preferred, 2 years in Golf Instruction and Golf Club fitting experience preferred.
