Cashier

Puffy Cotton Candy is looking for an efficient, courteous, and energetic cashier who possesses excellent customer service skills. The cashier will use our Square Point of Sale system to log and process customer cotton candy and/or drink orders, accept payments, issue receipts, and answer inquiries. You will also field and resolve customer complaints, process refunds, and help maintain a clean workspace.

To succeed as a cashier, you should have a strong work ethic and a high level of accuracy. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service.

Cashier Responsibilities:

Welcoming customers, answering their questions, and providing advice or recommendations on different cotton candy flavors and characters.

Possessing knowledge of current line-up of characters and flavors.

Communicating customer orders to fellow employees, e.g. cotton candy makers

Operating our Square POS system which involves handling both cash and card transactions.

Ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate.

Processing refunds and resolving complaints.

Maintaining a clean workspace and helping our cotton candy artists keep their workspace clean.

Help manage and stock inventory on an as-needed basis.

Cashier Requirements:

Customer service or cashier experience. Square POS experience preferred.

Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, responsibly and in a trustworthy manner.

High level of energy with strong customer service skills.

Basic math and computer skills.

Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.

Detail oriented and organized.

Pay is $14/hr with the ability to make up to $20/hr.
