Job Description – Data Entry Clerk

Join an established collection agency as a full-time Data Entry Clerk. This position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the administrative department. Data entry clerks need to be detail-oriented, have strong time management skills, and be proficient with computers. The position is in the employer’s Tacoma headquarters office.

Responsibilities

• Enter new accounts in system assigned by clients
• Process and route consumer disputes received via e-Oscar
• Process returned mail and address corrections
• Perform receptionist duties (i.e. routing incoming phone calls)
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous debt collection experience a plus, but not required
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Adobe
• Computer literate
• Ability to type 40 wpm, with few to no errors
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail oriented with strong proof-reading skills
• Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and prioritize
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Familiar with standard concepts and procedures within an office environment
• High school diploma with 1-2 years of work experience in an office setting
• Valid Driver’s License

Working Conditions

• Office hours; Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
