Purpose Statement
The job of Coordinator, Claims - WCT / UP is done for the purpose / s of providing administrative support in the data entry, setup, adjusting and resolution of workers' compensation and unemployment compensation claims and other assigned roles; and maintaining services within established guidelines, regulations, and standards in support of school districts' claims and risk management efforts.

Essential Functions
- Communicates with WCT / UP staff, related departments, member district personnel, experts, claimants, attorneys, and other outside organizations for the purpose of coordinating activities, responding to inquiries, exchanging information, and resolving claim files.
- Embodies the principles and practices that form our culture and commitment to becoming an Antiracist Multicultural Organization for the purpose of meeting the Agency's End : Success for Each Child and Eliminating the Opportunity Gap by Leading with Racial Equity.
- Facilitates the initial intake process, coordinating with and gathering information from staff, claimants, member districts, and external entities for the purpose of accurately recording new claims within agency systems.
- Liaise between WCT / UP and member districts for the purpose of facilitating communication, teamwork, and mutual support.
- Maintains a high level of proficiency with common office technologies, for the purpose of ensuring accurate data management and use of complex database systems.
- Maintains workers' compensation and unemployment claims records for the purpose of documenting actions and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and statutes.
- Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars as assigned for the purpose of conveying and / or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Performs record keeping and general clerical functions (e.g., copying, filing, faxing, maintaining supplies, forms, scheduling appointments, etc.) for the purpose of supporting program operations.
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of individuals (e.g., WCT / UP staff, member school districts, and external entities) for the purpose of coordinating activities, resolving issues, facilitating communication among parties, exchanging information, and / or providing direction.
- Supports WCT / UP staff for the purpose of maintaining efficiency of team / program operations and / or delivering services in conformance with established guidelines.
