PSE's Legal team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Claims Representative position!

Job Description
The Claims Representative is the first point of contact for customer introductions to the Claims department. The claims representative works closely with Claims Agents, handling all administrative tasks for Damage and Liability claims.
Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.
Job Responsibilities
- Responds to customer inquiries via phone and/or email.
- Reviews claim package from Claims Agent for accuracy and completeness prior to billing.
- Provides information and respond to inquiries from other departments, outside vendors and service providers to ensure claim charges are appropriate and applied to the correct work orders.
- Generates and follows up on billing documents in SAP/WEB IC – includes account charges or corrections.
- Generates and maintains follow-up work queue for payment reminder notices that go out to the customer.
- Sets up payment installment plans in SAP/WEB IC.
- Assists in the research of aging claims to ensure timely processing of billing or write-offs.
- Prepares Promissory Note and Confession of Judgment legal documents in anticipation of litigation.
- Correspond with State, county and city jurisdictions and agencies.
- Prepares Cost Breakdown and billing detail documentation and follow-up information as required by PSE collection attorney, local Courts for restitution hearings and insurance companies.
- Assists and supports other Claims Representatives and coordinates workload as necessary.
- Assists and supports other Claims Representatives with training new and existing team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- At least 1 year experience in customer service and/or claims.
- Working knowledge of claims billing, collections and payment process.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable and perform well in a fast paced, team environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous insurance and/or claims experience.
- Experience with SAP.
- Utility experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, or related field;
- Experience in a Call Center environment.

The pay range for this position is $48,000.00 - $74,500.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
