Job Description

Under direct supervision, performs general labor work, including but not limited to, grounds maintenance; debris clean up; weeding; etc.

Compensation :

22.44 / hour (non-exempt). This is a Temporary Casual position.

Reporting Relationship :

Reports to : Department Manager, Supervisors and Lead Workers.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

  • Performs general labor work, including but not limited to, weeding; raking; shoveling; and picking up debris.
  • Actively participates in training, support, direction, and guidance from Supervisors.
  • Reports all maintenance and repairs required for equipment to the Supervisors.
  • Operates all hand tools in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Entry Level position.
  • Required to follow all safety standards.
  • Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Requires working to the established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance.
  • Requires good verbal communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Able to think and make effective decisions quickly.
  • Ability to create effective working relationships with employees.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
  • The employee is occasionally required to operate objects, tools or controls.
