Job Description
The Hostess greets and seats guests in a professional and gracious manner, displaying friendliness and cooperativeness. The Hostess also organizes Restaurant reservations and assists in servicing guest requests.
Compensation :
15.75 / hour (non-exempt). This is a Part-time position.
Reporting Relationship :
Reports to : Resetaurant Manager and Assistant Manager

Responsibilities
Essential Duties
Greet all guests at the door, and make them feel welcome.Graciously handle guests who do not have reservations.Assist guests in finding seating in an alternate area while waiting for a table.Assist in the coordination of parties. Maintain table charts.Maintain constant awareness of which tables are ready to be seated, and escort guests to the same, and seat guests (i.e. pull out chairs for guests).Seat guests according to their preference. Hats and wraps should be taken care of as close to the entrance as possible.Present menus to guests.Maintain awareness of which tables, as well as the number of tables, are assigned to each waiter or waitress, and ensure that server stations are not overloaded.Ensure that servers are aware of each new table.Thank the guests as they leave. Try to ascertain the kind of dining experience they had.Maintain familiarity with the operation and services of the Hotel, menu, daily specials, and the duties of the servers and service attendants.Convey guest or employee dissatisfaction to manager on duty.Answer the telephone, receive reservations, and enter reservations in the reservations book following prescribed procedures.Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the entrance and Dining area.Perform all POS cashiering duties.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
