Job Summary
Maintains and overhauls equipment and vehicles under the general direction of Fleet Manager or Shop Supervisor. Performs complex tasks requiring high skilled manual operations involving precise adjustments and dimension limits.
Main Responsibilities
- Directs and supervises other mechanics or assigned employees.
- Conducts individual and business affairs in an ethical and legal manner.
- Establishes a supportive working environment for all employees.
- Complies with Company policies and standards.
Requirements
- Able to read, understand, interpret and apply information from service and maintenance manuals.
- Understands the operation and working parts of all automotive systems.
- Regulates, manipulates and controls acetylene cutting and welding equipment.
- Diagnostics causes of trouble without dismantling equipment.
- Certification in mobile air conditioning service is required.
- Maintains written records of parts replaced, work performed and time spent on jobs.
- Trains and/or assists in training of employees.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Automotive Mechanics and/or Automotive Tech Certification, preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an automotive shop.
- Registered or certified mechanic's license with the State of Hawaii.
- State of Hawaii Safety Inspection Certification, or must obtain within 6 months of hire date.
