Full Time
Master's Degree or currently working towards Master’s Degree in an education field. Preferred Educational Leadership type of licensure.
At least five (5)years experience in teaching and/or supervision at the elementary (K-5) level.
A valid teaching certificate issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Course work in educational administration or related supervisory experience is desirable.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work effectively with groups and individuals. Demonstrated skills in organization, communication, and problem solving. Ability to make sound decisions.
Position Responsibilities:
Meet with students and others to discuss discipline and attendance concerns.
Help the principal supervise the school attendance program.
Confer with parents, school counselor, district social worker and School Resource Officer (SRO)..
Manage referrals for truancy.
Organize and/or participate in staff meetings including Schoolwide Intervention Teams, PBIS, and other MLSS Tiered Supports regarding students with attendance or behavior problems.
Monitor and assist with the supervision of students on campus.
Effectively manage student organizations within the school.
Encourage parental involvement.
Building Personnel
Work with the school counselor, district psychologist and social worker on referrals and resolving student concerns.
Assist the principal with supervision and evaluation of student teachers and support staff personnel/paraprofessionals.
Assist the principal with staff communications.
Effectively create and manage supervision schedules.
Administrative Team
Serve as the principal designee.
Work with administrative assistant to secure necessary substitutes for absent support staff.
Manage and supervise the building emergency and crisis plan.
Implement the school district philosophy, and Board of Education and building level policies and administrative guideline procedures.
Attend administrative meetings as designated by the building principal.
Serve as a representative at Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
Assist the principal with interviewing and selecting new staff members.
Serve as a member of the buildingSchool-wide Intervention Team and PBIS Teams.
Serve as a member of the building guiding coalition team.
Attend co-curricular events and parent meetings as designated by the principal.
Assist the principal with creating the master schedule.
Assist the principal with responding to emergencies.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
