Job Description:
The School psychologists will collaborate with parents, school staff, and students to promote a healthy learning environment that focuses on the cognitive, social, emotional and personal development of all students. School psychologists support students by promoting college, career and community readiness through a variety of interventions, assessments, evaluations and school programming opportunities.
Qualifications:
Must possess and maintain proper certification by state law and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction license #7062.
Current First Aid/CPR certified or willing to obtain
Demonstrated ability to:
work collaboratively
carry out emergency/crisis response procedures
perform all computer technology tasks associated with the position
maintain confidentiality and maintain legal and ethical practices
communicate positively/effectively with students, parents, staff, patrons
Commitment to the Pulaski Board of Education Educational Philosophy
Demonstrated skills in positive human relations and cultural competence
Demonstrated skills in problem solving and conflict management
Knowledge and experience with psycho-educational evaluations
Ability to work collaboratively with students, professional staff, support staff, administrators and parents to improve the academic, social and emotional development of children with disabilities
Work collaboratively with and provide consultation to school and community agency personnel
Knowledge of IDEA and special education law and processes
Knowledge of Section 504 legislation and processes
Skills and knowledge related to RTI, PBIS and facilitation of Schoolwide Intervention Team (SIT)(problem-solving teams)

Essential Job Functions:
Assist in developing programs for non-disabled children when appropriate
Collect, analyze and interpret data to assist BCT and IEP teams in problem-solving processes to improve student performance and development
Keep abreast of developments in the field of school psychology so as to furnish leadership in determining appropriate instruction for each student
Must be able to:

perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Student Services
