JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for researching, arranging, and coordinating all advance purchases for approved methods of transportation, lodging, and seminar registrations for County employees and Elected Officials.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains copies of all supporting documents.
- Collects and maintains required receipts for expenses incurred in connection with travel authorization.
- Receives and processes requests from employees and Elected Officials regarding travel arrangements and seminar registration.
- Makes travel arrangements as necessary.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other related duties as required.
PERSONNEL SUPERVISED: None
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in a smoking-restricted environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

- Some knowledge of the policies and procedures governing travel for County employees.
- Ability to conduct research using the internet.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
- Ability to maintain a detailed recordkeeping system.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to attend work regularly and reliably.
- Skill in the operation of a computer.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Digital dexterity is necessary for keyboard operation.
- Visual acuity is necessary for use of the computer screen.
- Ability to communicate orally, both in person and by telephone.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Completion of high school or GED equivalency; some work experience or training in the use of computers and internet research, performing clerical duties, or a related area; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
