Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, organizing, and implementing specific patient treatment programs. Implements therapy according to the established plan, utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment, and techniques within the scope of speech therapy. Educates the patient and/or the caregiver about the findings of the evaluation, established goals of the speech therapy program, plan of treatment, home programs, injury prevention, and other related information. Communicates effectively with other patient care team members and coordinates care provided. Assists in directing Aides, Interns/Students, and Volunteers in their caseloads, including treatment planning, goal setting, progress evaluation and documentation.
