Job Details
Med / Surg and Progressive Care; ACLS is required and at least 5 years of experience.
Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
Performs patient assessment / reassessment of health conditions through interviews, observation and inspection in a systematic, organized manner.
Formulates a nursing diagnosis based on accessible, communicable, and recorded data which is collected in a systematic and continuous manner.
Develops and coordinates an individual plan of care including discharge planning, goals and prioritized nursing approaches or measures derived from the nursing diagnosis.
Communicates, collaborates and works with other members of the health team to provide safe, effective, quality and continuity of care.
Implements strategies to provide for patient participation in the plan of care, health promotion, maintenance and restoration.
Recognizes changes in patient conditions and responds appropriately.
Evaluates with the patient the status of goal achievement as a basis for reassessment, reordering priorities, new goal-setting, and revision of the plan of nursing care.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years Progressive Care experience (required).
Graduated from an Accredited School of Nursing.
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing is preferred, but associate and diploma is accepted.
Holds a current Indiana Registered Nurse license and current BLS – Healthcare provider’s certification.
