Job Description
The Electronic Technician Maintenance II position supports the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations Maintenance Program (ATMP) contract at Fort Irwin, CA. This position primarily supports RCS.
Job duties include :
- Applies intermediate technical knowledge to solve routine tasks by following detailed instructions.
- Performs such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters.
- Receives technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician.
- Functional testing consisting of performing operational and diagnostic checks, scheduled preventive maintenance, unscheduled (corrective) maintenance and repair; to include troubleshooting, replacement of faulty parts and realignment of the system.
- Employment of a variety of specialized test equipment, complex electronic schematics and diagrams in conducting fault isolation.
- Using the data gained through the troubleshooting / repair process, preparing and revising maintenance instructions, procedures while implementing manufacturer / engineering changes.
- Stores, consumes, and accounts for all issued parts and materials to support range maintenance operations.
- Captures and records accurate and timely maintenance history ensuring unique corrective measures for work orders and repair are annotated into the AWARE Management Information System (MIS).
- Shares maintenance issues and general operations updates with the supervisor and senior technician.
- Safely operates company vehicle; navigates established range roads and trails to specific locations using basic navigation techniques with map / compass, Global Positioning System (GPS), Night Optical Devices (NOD) when necessary, and radio communication systems.
- Supports quality / ISO, security and safety training programs.
- Safeguards all assigned equipment issued by PULAU Corporation against loss, theft, and damage.
- May be assigned task to support military Rotational Training Unit's MILES install / de-install and instrumentation.
- Will be cross trained to support other TADSS and may be assigned tasks to support other ATMP contract equipment on the installation.
