Job Overview:
PULAU is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to support the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations Maintenance Program (ATMP) contract at Fort Irwin, California. As an HVAC Mechanic, you will perform skilled electrical maintenance work in the repair, maintenance and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors and wiring systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, including performance calibrations, rebuilds, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders and repair histories.
- Participate in quality / ISO, security and safety training programs to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
- Support after-hour HVAC failure repair calls as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
- 5 years of experience working with commercial HVAC systems.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Familiarity with researching HVAC repair parts and ordering replacement components.
- Ability to accurately read measuring devices, testing equipment, and instruments.
- Valid CA driver's license and ability to obtain/maintain post access and driving privileges.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Able to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
