The Curatorial Assistant will provide support to the Curatorial department. The Curatorial Assistant is responsible for supporting the department with exhibition development, research, and a range of administrative tasks. A successful candidate will possess strong research skills, familiarity with library and image databases, and museum experience.

Position Responsibilities
- Work with curators and colleagues across departments to establish agendas, deliverables, and timelines for the production of exhibitions.
- Facilitate communication with staff, collaborators, and external stakeholders.
- Create and manage exhibition checklists in close coordination with the Registrar department.
- Generate research materials in support of exhibition development.
- Assist with the development and editing of interpretive texts, press releases, and other written exhibition materials.
- Provide administrative support for curatorial public programs.
- Support the preparation of and perform occasional tours for museum staff and the public.
- Assist with daily administrative functions, including, but not limited to, creating presentations, agendas, timelines, and arranging travel for the curatorial department and external partners.
- Facilitate the processing of departmental expenses and budget reports.
- Support the development and realization of departmental goals and institutional initiatives.

Preferred Experience and Background Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required in art history or a humanities-related field.
- Strong research skills required
- Familiarity with library and image databases and interlibrary services is a plus.
- Experience in a museum, either through work or internships, is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and workloads.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Adherence to professional ethics.
