Responsibilities
- Conduct composite repairs using epoxy and polyester resins, adhering to technical specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize wet lay-up and vacuum bag techniques to ensure precise structural repairs.
- Handle balsa and foam core materials accurately and safely.
- Read and interpret complex technical drawings and processes.
- Use manufacturing equipment and powered hand tools efficiently and safely.
- Maintain adherence to production worker instructions (PWI).
- Demonstrate the ability to meet production standards and quality requirements within designated timeframes.
- Perform repairs accurately, documenting processes as required under supervision.
- Tolerate environments involving chemicals and materials in compliance with OSHA guidelines.
- Operate within a takt plan, balancing safety and quality requirements.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Lift, position, and move materials in accordance with job requirements.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years of complex composite repair experience.
- Knowledge of epoxy and polyester resins, fiberglass reinforcement, and structural repair.
- Familiarity with wet lay-up and vacuum bag techniques.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, technical drawings, and memos.
- Proficiency with measuring tools and gauges.
- IT literacy, including email and internet usage.
- Established work history of at least one year, preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience working collaboratively on teams and adapting to dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated integrity and effective communication skills on the job.
- Completion of on-the-job training may be considered in place of experience requirements.
