Job Overview/Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. This role is critical to maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness for surgical instruments and patient care equipment.
Responsibilities
- Possess working knowledge of surgical instruments and central sterile equipment and techniques
- Receive, clean, process, assemble, and distribute medical supplies and equipment
- Handle, transport, pull, and store sterile surgical instruments and equipment
- Acquire, distribute, and charge disposable supplies and patient rental equipment
- Sterilize reusable equipment, supplies, and surgical instrumentation
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and surgical instruments
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with electronic inventory and sterilization tracking systems
- Experience in high-volume surgical environments
- Successful completion of a Central Sterile Supply Certification Program
- Previous experience as a central sterile technician preferred
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (IAHCSMM) or CRCST certification required
