Job Details
Job Title: PHP Developer
Location: Indianapolis, IN (2-3 days a week in office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Consolidate multiple PHP projects into a cohesive codebase.
- Implement frameworks (moving towards Symfony) and clean up existing code.
- Introduce and implement unit testing.
- Refactor T-SQL in SQL Server.
- Collaborate with a team of PHP developers and a contract architect.
- Work independently to create and modify code based on project requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in PHP development.
- Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks, particularly Symfony.
- Experience with front-end technologies, especially React.
- Proficiency in unit testing and code refactoring.
- Experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Ability to work in a scrum environment and collaborate with the development team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and deliver concise, high-quality code.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to write and speak clearly.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Concise and to-the-point communication style.
- Comfortable working in a scrum environment and participating in occasional demos.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience transitioning from monolithic applications to frameworks.
- Familiarity with other PHP frameworks and modern development practices.
