Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee environmental services protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform custodial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining floors and surfaces in accordance with established standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas needing attention or improvement in cleanliness.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment for various surfaces, ensuring effective floor care practices are followed.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules that minimize disruption while maximizing efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, supplies used, and any incidents that occur during the cleaning process.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on proper cleaning methods, safety procedures, and the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in environmental services or custodial roles, preferably within a hospital or Skilled Nursing Facility setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness issues promptly.
- Proficient in various cleaning techniques, including floor care methods suitable for different types of surfaces.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
