Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in fast-paced environments such as nightclubs, restaurants, or catering events. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while expertly mixing and serving drinks. Your ability to manage time effectively and handle cash transactions will be essential in providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and stocked.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking drink orders and providing recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using a POS system.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol responsibly and adhere to all legal regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods, especially during events such as banquets.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of bar areas for special events or catering services.
- Manage inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and garnishes; report any shortages to management.
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience in a nightclub, restaurant, or catering environment is preferred.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions.
- Familiarity with a point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of various drink recipes, including cocktails, wines, and beers.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Must be able to obtain a bartending license within 2 weeks of start date.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
