The Medical Office Manager for our Hamilton Mill location is responsible for supervision of patient affairs, office workflow, clinical operations, telephones, and back office staff. The person in this capacity ensures that the office is running smoothly and proficiently.
Experience Requirements:
-Minimum 5 years working in a healthcare practice
-Minimum 2 years working in a leadership or management role in a healthcare practice.
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other relevant duties may be assigned.
-Managing daily office operations.
-Managing staff in understanding and implementing clinic policies and procedures.
-Maintains an efficient and responsive patient flow system.
- Overlook entry of charges, procedure codes, payments, and patient demographic information entered by the back office
- Office supply inventory, ensures that office is open and closed according to procedures.
- Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
-Oversees that patient information is obtained correctly and filed properly.
- Audit records of medical staff and communicates with supervisor the results.
- Ensure that the medical office is clean and maintained at all times and meets hygiene standards
-Supervision and manage up to 10 back office medical staff
-Collaborate with the front desk/support manager
- Report to the practice manager
