We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Lead Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing front desk operations, ensuring efficient patient flow, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology and experience with medical scheduling, superior medical insurance background and documentation review.,
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for healthcare providers.
- Review documentation for accuracy, including ICD-10 coding and dental terminology.
- Handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EclinicalWorks software for patient management, scheduling and record keeping.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to the appropriate staff member.
- Assist with administrative duties as needed to support the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Lead Medical Receptionist or in a similar clerical role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, particularly pulmonology and sleep medicine terminology is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and documentation review processes.
- Proficient in using office equipment and software, including EclinicalWorks or similar systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
